About Me...

My Name is Tanya Davies, I am 39 and work as an artists model for various art groups throughout Dorset, Somerset and Wiltshire. I have no formal training as an artist, but I have gained much from the artists I sit for.

I am a mother of three children, and I usually paint from my kitchen. I recently had an exhibition of my paintings at Shaftesbury Arts Center.
I Sold well during Dorset Art Weeks, and also have paintings exhibited at Fisherton Mill in Salisbury, Wiltshire.

Painting is my passion, it's not a 'hobby', it is a way of life for me and I want to take it further. I am inspired by nature, the colors, and the shapes of the countryside that surrounds me. The Hare is a subject that fascinates me; its appearence in folklore, its symbolism of fertility and its associated mysticism.

My ambition is to learn, improve, and to convey the love of what I do.
